Union of Aruban Cultural Organizations (UNOCA) Celebrates Its 40th Anniversary

ORANJESTAD – Today, June 25, 2026, the Government of Aruba celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Union of Aruban Cultural Organizations (UNOCA).

For four decades, UNOCA has played an important role in promoting and developing culture in Aruba. Through its dedication and commitment, the organization has contributed significantly to strengthening the cultural sector and has provided support to numerous artists, organizations, and cultural initiatives across the island.

In 2008, UNOCA acquired the Academy of Fine Arts building, creating greater opportunities for the community of San Nicolas to develop and participate in artistic and cultural activities.

Minister of Culture and Prime Minister Mike Eman expressed his appreciation to everyone who has contributed to UNOCA’s success over the past 40 years, including its boards of directors, members, staff, volunteers, the Ministry of Culture, and all those who have dedicated themselves to promoting and preserving Aruba’s cultural heritage.

The Government of Aruba wishes UNOCA continued success in the years ahead and looks forward to maintaining a strong partnership aimed at strengthening the island’s cultural identity and fostering creativity throughout Aruba.

Congratulations on 40 years of dedicated service to Aruba and its culture!
