To all those involved in renting electric steps, electric bicycles, and electric scooters, please take note of the following announcement from the Ministry of Justice, Integration, Public Transport, and Energy
ORANJESTAD - The Ministry of Justice, Integration, Public Transport, and Energy hereby announces that, pursuant to Article 3, paragraph 3, of the National Ordinance on Passenger Transport, it is prohibited to rent out cars or motorcycles as a profession, secondary occupation, business, or secondary business without a license from the competent minister.
This announcement is directed at all natural persons, legal entities, companies, operators, lessors, platform providers, and other parties involved who offer, rent, place, or make available such vehicles in Aruba for use on or from public roads without the required passenger transport license.
