Tienda di Educacion organized “From Generation to Generation” Conference.

ORANJESTAD—On May 17, 2025, the first Family Conference under the theme "From Generation to Generation," organized by Tienda di Educacion in Maria Convent at the University of Aruba.

Minister of Public Health, Social Affairs, Elderly Care, and Addict Care Dr. Mervin Wyatt-Ras and Minister of Kingdom Relations, Education, Youth, Innovation, and Sports, mr. Gerlien Croes attended the conference.

Romely Flanegin, director of Education Store, emphasized that family is the foundation of human development. This served as an inspiration for the organization of this conference to create awareness and strengthen the family's role in children's development was attended by four guest speakers, who shared knowledge on key topics such as the value of a functional family, the crucial importance of the first 1000 days of a child's life, psychosocial development, the impact of adverse childhood experiences, and healthy parenting styles.

Minister Wyatt-Ras emphasized that focusing on family and child welfare is essential for achieving a sustainable and strong future for our country. "It is crucial for us to collaborate to ensure that children in Aruba can grow up in supportive families. They need all the essential elements for their emotional, social, and educational development to secure a better future and contribute to the progress of our country."

The government is dedicated to collaborating with the health and education sectors to establish the essential conditions that will enable every child in Aruba to develop with confidence, stability, and opportunity.

Tienda di Educacion reiterated its intention to continue organizing programs and conferences that guide educators and parents to support the family bond.
