The price for a dozen local eggs (brown eggs) has been set

This is an old post.

ORANJESTAD — The price for a dozen local eggs (brown eggs) is set at Awg. 6.80. The price is also independent of the size of the egg.

As for imported eggs, the supermarket may apply a maximum margin of 60 cents per dozen to the wholesale price/invoice.

The price for a dozen imported eggs (white eggs) varies weekly. Auditors from the Department of Economic Affairs, Trade and Industry, DEACI, will check the price of imported eggs in the supermarket daily, based on the invoice.

DEACI asks all supermarkets to cooperate with their regulators and show the latest invoices.
