The most popular and most borrowed book at the library: 'Aza and the Magic Doors'!

ORANJESTAD—Since its publication in 2024, the children's book 'Aza y e portanan magico' (Aza and the Magic Doors) has become more popular and is the most borrowed book at the library!

'Aza and the Magic Doors' is a production for the 2024 Children's Book Festival and was published by Livendig Publishers. Liliana Erasmus wrote a book for all the children in Aruba. And Daniëlle Schothorst beautifully illustrated it. This is a unique, fun, and adventurous book that would be a great addition to the library.

"Reading isn't fun for Aza. She always has to behave well at the library. Books with a good plot are fine, but books with a lot of text... brrr. Today, Aza is playing hide-and-seek with her friends right at the library! She's hiding in the Storytelling Tower. She knows it all too well: 'The Brave Beard and the Magic Doors!' "When Aza wants to close the book, it comes to life."

Liliana had a great love for writing and painting since childhood. She had pen pals from around the globe. Her first publication was in the fifth grade of elementary school, in the then children's magazine 'Matinette,' where she won a prize for her "letter of the week." It was no surprise to many that Liliana became a writer and illustrator of children's books. Liliana was born in 1974 in Aruba. Most people in Aruba know her as Lily Erasmus. She is married to Albert and is the mother of a son, Enric, and a daughter, Alyza.
