The Government of Aruba presented its vision for reforestation to various ambassadors and consuls of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the region.
ORANJESTAD - On October10, a meeting was held at Arikok National Park to exchange views with diplomats representing the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
During the event, Prime Minister Mike Eman shared the government's vision with the ambassadors, diplomatic representatives, and consuls. He reaffirmed the commitment to preserving Aruba's environment and protecting its natural parks while emphasizing the importance of strengthening collaboration with other parts of the Kingdom. This vision outlines a future in which nature is seamlessly woven into all facets of development and sustainability. Every contribution, as well as shared knowledge and support, is vital for both the local community and the Kingdom as a whole.
Local experts, including Francielle Laclé, Gisbert Boekhoudt, Tyson Lopez, and Natasha Silva, work tirelessly to protect the island and its natural resources. Their daily dedication provides strength and inspiration to achieve the shared goal of a sustainable, inclusive, and nature-respecting Aruba.
Furthermore, Aruba advocates for a “nature-inclusive” approach that incorporates sustainability into all areas of development. The government views this initiative as a potential model for fostering collaboration and planning at the Kingdom level, which could enhance relationships among the other islands in the Kingdom.
With great enthusiasm, we will continue working together toward a future that prioritizes sustainability, respect for nature, and the well-being of our community.
