The Department of Labor and Research (DAO) informs that the King's Day celebration is officially on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
ORANJESTAD—King's Day, which is the day that celebrates the birthday of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander, is Sunday, 27 April 2025.
In the Netherlands, it was announced by a decree of the Royal Household that this year, because 'King's Day' is on a Sunday, the celebration will be held a day earlier.
For this reason, the government of Aruba decided to hold the official celebration of 'King's Day' with the Netherlands on Saturday, 26 April 2025. Saturday, 26 April 2025, is therefore considered this year's official holiday according to Art. 22 of the Labor Ordinance 2013.
DAO asks employers and workers to take good care of this, especially for the compensation for working on a holiday applicable to the different sectors.
