The Department of Labor and Investigation invites employers to participate in a survey on their experiences with young persons in the labor market.
ORANJESTAD – The Department of Labor and Investigation (DAO) announces that starting on January 29, 2024, employers can participate in an online survey on their experiences as employers, particularly on their experiences working with young persons.
DAO recognizes that employers substantially contribute to the labor market of Aruba. The investigation objective is to get a more comprehensive view of employers of young persons' work experiences currently available in the labor market. This target group is the young individuals of 15 to 24 years of age and the group of young adults of 25 to 29 years.
This investigation compiles information a.o. on the recruitment and employment of young workers from the employer's point of view. This insight allows for evidence-based policies to be developed and implemented in a manner targeted towards young workers. This data aids in the identification of areas in which our labor market may harbor discrepancies related to the supply and demand for young workers, detecting challenges related to unemployment. For young persons, this information contributes to improving their labor market prospects.
We kindly request your participation in this survey. It takes an estimated 10 minutes of your time.
Participation in this investigation is voluntary. DAO will publish all information and data received in aggregated form to protect your company’s identity. For more information regarding this survey, contact the Bureau for Labor Market Research at 5237720 or send an e-mail to mandy.lacle@aruba.gov.aw or simon.brete@aruba.gov.aw.
We appreciate your time and willingness to contribute to this investigation. Your company participation contributes significantly to labor policy development and efforts to improve employment opportunities for young persons. We kindly ask you to complete the survey before February 28, 2023.
