Starting October 2024, LATAM Airlines will operate five weekly flights
ORANJESTAD - Aruba Airport proudly announces LATAM Airline’s decision to enhance its direct service between Lima (LIM) and Aruba (AUA), starting in October 2024.
This development marks a significant milestone in Aruba Airport’s ongoing efforts to enhance connectivity and meet the growing demand for travel to and from Latin America.
Since its launch in December 2023, LATAM Airlines has continually strengthened its commitment to Aruba. Initially offering three weekly flights on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, the carrier promptly responded to heightened demand by adding a fourth frequency on Mondays, effective July 2024. In response to the strong demand for travel to Aruba and exceptional route performance, LATAM Airlines announced the introduction of a fifth weekly flight on Tuesdays, beginning October 2024. This expanded service solidifies LATAM’s footprint in Aruba and ensures a seamless travel experience for passengers.
The additional frequencies scheduled for July 2024 and October 2024 are anticipated to contribute an incremental monthly seat capacity of approximately 1,400 seats, reaching an estimated 3,480 monthly seats by October 2024. The Latin American region has seen remarkable growth in 2024, with seat capacity expanding by 43% and load factors increasing by 2.3 points year-to-date in May 2024, compared to the same period in the previous year.
