Sinterklaas and his helpers arrive on Sunday, November 16, 2025.
ORANJESTAD—On Sunday, November 16, 2025, Sinterklaas and his Pieten will arrive by boat in Aruba at the Aruba Ports Authority (A.P.A.) terminal.
The Government of Aruba and the Committee for the Celebration of Aruba's National Holidays (C.C.D.N.) cordially invite all parents and children to welcome Sinterklaas back to Aruba. The doors of the A.P.A. cruise terminal (Gate 5) at the Welcome Plaza will open at 2:00 PM, allowing the public to welcome Sinterklaas and more than a hundred helpers (Pieten).
The ship is expected to arrive in port around 3:00 PM. Upon arrival, Sinterklaas and his Pieten will disembark and board the tram, which will depart for Plaza La Linda in Caya Grandi, accompanied by music and a cheerful Pieten show. The route runs from Welcome Plaza, via the tram tracks along Arubus Weststraat, Havenstraat, and Plaza Daniel Leo to Caya Grandi.
The Sinterklaas caravan arrives at 4:00 PM at Plaza La Linda. There, a festive program with activities for all children will be held, including dance performances, a Piet show, photos with Sinterklaas, fun children's games, and various food and drink stalls. The program at Plaza La Linda ends at 6:00 PM.
All parents are asked to keep a close eye on their children: wear sunscreen, ensure there are plenty of drinks, protect their ears from loud music, and be careful in traffic and crowds.
