Signing of Leasehold Agreement between the Country of Aruba and the Cabinet of the Governor of Aruba

In the presence of the Governor of Aruba, His Excellency Alfonso Boekhoudt, His Excellency Rene Herdé, Minister of Labor, Energy and Integration, charged with the management of the Ministry of Housing, Infrastructure, Internal Services and Telecommunications, signed the agreement on behalf of the Country. On behalf of the Cabinet of the Governor of Aruba, Mr. Warnink, Director of the Cabinet, signed.

Pursuant to the agreement, the Cabinet becomes the owner of the property located at Maria Christinastraat 2, popularly known as the ‘Cas Ceremonial’. This enables the Governor of Aruba and the Cabinet of the Governor of Aruba to use the Cas Ceremonial in a more efficient and sustainable manner in the future.

The Cas Ceremonial has an important historical function and is already used by the Governor of Aruba for ceremonial occasions and official receptions.
