ORANJESTAD – The Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A) has released its November 2025 results, along with data on VISA card spending patterns for the third quarter of 2025.

In the third quarter of 2025, a total of 254,261 VISA cardholders from 129 countries were registered. During this time, they spent over USD $163 million in Aruba, marking a 12.3% increase in total sales compared to the third quarter of 2024. This increase indicates a 12% rise in the number of cardholders and a 15.7% increase in transaction volume. Additionally, cash withdrawals reached US$15 million.

Spending per cardholder remained almost flat compared to the same period in 2024. Restaurants and dining remain the main pending category, with US$48 million, an increase of 16%. The next category is Hotels & Lodging, with US$38 million and an increase of 13.1%, excluding prepaid payments made before arrival in Aruba. In third place is Retail with US$35.5 million and a 10.2% increase.

According to the most recent forecast, the number of tourists visiting Aruba is expected to increase by at least 5% by the end of 2025 (stay-over arrivals), with growth observed in all regions compared to 2024.

15.9% GROWTH IN STAYOVER FOR NOVEMBER 2025 COMPARED TO NOVEMBER 2024

In November 2025, Aruba welcomed 123,831 stay-over tourists, reflecting a 15.9% increase from November 2024. This is a significant absolute increase. The most notable increase came from Latin American markets, particularly Argentina and Brazil. From North America, Canada continued to play a significant role in the overall growth.

MARKETS AND MARKET SHARE

By November 2025, 75.8% of visitors came from North America, 16.0% from Latin America, 5.4% from Europe, and 2.9% from other regions.  Argentina and Brazil primarily fueled the significant growth in Latin America. Although Europe experienced a slight decline, Canada saw a considerable increase in visitor arrivals from North America.

A.T.A. continues to use the Lighthouse platform to monitor and analyze the STVR sector. Comparing November 2025 with November 2024, the average occupancy level has risen to 60%. The ADR (Average Daily Rate) for November 2025 is USD $307, while total YTD revenue through November 2025 is USD $27.3 million, compared to USD $20.8 million in November 2024.
