Reinoud H. den Haan appointed as new Chief Public Prosecutor in Aruba
ORANJESTAD - Reinoud H. den Haan took office as the new Chief Public Prosecutor in Aruba effective July 1, 2026.
He was nominated by Minister of Justice Arthur Dowers and subsequently appointed by the Council of Ministers for a period of four years.
Den Haan (51) comes from the Public Prosecution Service in the Netherlands. As a public prosecutor, he has gained extensive experience at several district courts and, in the recent past, from 2019 to 2022, worked as Advocate General in Philipsburg, St. Maarten. Within the Dutch Public Prosecution Service, he held various senior leadership positions.
With his experience and expertise, he will dedicate himself to further strengthening the Public Prosecution Service in Aruba in the coming years.
