Register now for the National Exam 2026
ORANJESTAD - The Examination Office of the Aruba Education Directorate (DEA) announces that registration for the National Exam for MAVO, HAVO, and VWO students in 2026 is open until September 30, 2025.
Who can participate?
Do you still want to obtain your MAVO, HAVO, or VWO diploma? The National Exam offers the opportunity to obtain this diploma flexibly. A National Exam is equivalent to a high school graduation exam, and a National Exam diploma for MAVO, HAVO, or VWO has the same value as a diploma obtained through a high school.
People who are no longer attending high school but still want to obtain their diploma, as well as those who want to obtain a certificate for one or more specific subjects, can register to participate in the National Exam.
The National Exam uses the same exam requirements and the same written central exams.
Those who choose to participate in the national exam do not have to take all subjects at the same time. You can choose to take exams and obtain partial certificates for one or more subjects in different school years. Each candidate has a maximum of ten (10) years to obtain their diploma through the national exam.

How to register?
To register, you must complete the digital registration form. You must also upload a extract of the Civil Registry (Awg.5) that is no older than six months. All necessary information can be found on the website www.ea.aw. Everyone is urged to read all the information in the "Information Brochure National Exam 2026" before completing the online registration form.
