Policy for bedridden patients at home to receive the Influenza and/or COVID-19 vaccine
ORANJESTAD - To protect the high-risk group, including citizens who are homebound and bedridden and who can become severely ill, develop complications, and even die from an infection with the Influenza virus or COVID-19, the Department of Public Health (DVG) will offer the annual Influenza vaccine as well as the COVID-19 vaccine containing the most recent variant to these patients at their home.
Any family that wishes for their homebound family member to receive the annual Influenza and, or COVID-19 vaccine can contact DVG at telephone number 5224200 to register. DVG will have a team of nurses who will visit the patients at home by appointment to administer the vaccine.

All 'bedridden' patients aged six months and older are eligible to receive the Influenza and COVID-19 vaccines completely free of charge. The requirements are the AZV card and an appointment. You can make an appointment by calling the DVG at 5224200.
All other people who are not 60 years old and do not have a chronic condition, but would like to get the flu vaccine, will be notified about the availability of the vaccine.
