Pet Relief Areas
ORANJESTAD – Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) announces the official opening of three new Pet Relief Areas inside Aeropuerto Internacional Reina Beatrix (AUA), designed specifically for departing passengers traveling with pets.
These facilities offer a clean and convenient space for pets to relieve themselves before boarding their flights, enhancing the travel experience for pet owners.
The pet relief stations are located:
- Near the restrooms at Gate B
- Near the restrooms at Gate 2
- Along the corridor right before Gates 7 & 8
Each area is equipped with waste disposal bins and rinsing facilities, and follows a set of clear guidelines to ensure safety, cleanliness, and courtesy for all travelers
To mark the occasion, AAA held a ribbon-cutting ceremony where AAA made a special donation to Luna Foundation, an Aruban non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of Aruba’s animals. Luna Foundation works through rehabilitation, sterilization, education, and local support, making a meaningful impact on the island’s animal welfare.
“We’re thrilled to offer these new amenities for pet owners traveling through Aruba,” said Jurgen Benschop, Chief Operating Officer, Aruba Airport Authority. “And we’re equally proud to support Luna Foundation in their mission to care for Aruba’s animals.”
