Opening of the 2026–2027 Parliamentary Year
ORANJESTAD – On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, the Governor of Aruba, His Excellency Alfonso Boekhoudt, officially opened the 2026–2027 parliamentary year by delivering the opening speech of the parliament.
The Governor delivered the address in his capacity as Head of the Government of Aruba.
The opening of the parliamentary year of the Parliament of Aruba takes place annually on the second Tuesday of September, featuring a traditional ceremonial guard of honor formed by military personnel from the Savaneta Marine Barracks and police cadets from the Aruba Police Force (KPA).
