Nominations for STREA Deportivo Aruba 2025 Officially Open
ORANJESTAD – The Ministry of Sports announces that the nomination period for STREA Deportivo Aruba 2025 is now officially open and will remain open through July 5, 2026.
All sports federations affiliated with the Aruba Olympic Committee (COA) and/or the Aruba Sports Union (ASU) have received an official notification via email and WhatsApp, including access to their digital account on the STREA platform, www.streadeportivoaruba.com, where they can submit nominations for athletes and other candidates for the 2025 sports year.
The Minister of Kingdom Relations, Education, Youth, Innovation and Sports, Ms. Gerlien Croes, encourages all federations to make use of this digital system, which enables an efficient, modern, and fully transparent process for the selection of nominees and eventual award recipients.
"We invite all federations to recognize and honor the dedication, talent, and commitment of our athletes who excelled in 2025. The new platform allows us to do so in a clear, transparent, and accessible manner," Minister Croes stated.
The rebranding of STREA Deportivo Aruba, formerly known as the Sports Excellence Award, marks an important step in the modernization of Aruba's premier sports awards event. The initiative remains committed to its core mission: recognizing athletes and sports leaders who make significant contributions to the development of sports and to the achievements of our local athletes, both locally and internationally.
During the official launch, emphasis was placed on the importance of transparency in the nomination process. Through the digital platform, not only can federations submit nominations, but the public can also follow the process closely.
Minister Croes expressed her appreciation to the organizing committee for its dedication and professionalism in coordinating the event, as well as to key partners IBiSA and Lotto pa Deporte for their continued support.
"This would not have been possible without the commitment of our partners. Together, we will continue to raise the standard of sports in Aruba and provide our local talents with the recognition they deserve," Minister Croes added.
