New Parking System at Aruba Airport
ORANJESTAD — Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) is preparing to introduce a new parking management system for the airport’s public parking area in November 2026, designed to provide a more convenient and efficient experience for visitors.
As Aruba Airport prepares for this launch, all customers with vehicles currently parked in the public parking area for an extended period must ensure their vehicle exits the parking lot by October 31, 2026. Existing parking tickets will no longer be valid under the new system, so removing vehicles before the transition is necessary to avoid inconvenience or delays.
A Smarter Parking Experience
The new parking system will introduce License Plate Recognition technology, allowing a vehicle’s license plate to be automatically registered upon entry. While physical tickets will still be issued as a backup, visitors will also be able to pay using their license plate number, even if they lose their ticket.
This upgrade aims to improve the overall airport parking experience through:
- Faster entry and exit times
- Expanded payment options
- Reduced congestion
- Improved parking availability
Under the new system, the public parking rate will remain AWG 3.00 per hour, with the system tracking duration based on the registered license plate. Visitors can pay using debit or credit cards (please note: American Express is not accepted) through several convenient methods:
- Online: via Pay.aw
- Payment Stations: located inside the Arrival Hall, at the Food Truck Plaza, and at the exit lanes
Public Parking Intended for Short-Term Use
Aruba Airport reminds visitors that the public parking area is primarily intended for short-term visits, such as passenger drop-off and pick-up, brief visits, and greeting arriving or departing travelers.
Visitors who require extended parking are encouraged to explore available parking subscription options through Aruba Airport’s parking pass portal prior to travel:

What Visitors Need to Do Now

- Stay Informed: In the coming weeks, Aruba Airport will share additional details through its website and social media channels, including informative videos explaining how the system works, where and how to pay, and what to expect during entry and exit.
