Naturalization ceremony September 2024
ORANJESTAD - On Wednesday evening, September 4, and Thursday evening, September 5, 2024, a naturalization ceremony took place in the garden of Cas Ceremonial di Gobernador.
In the presence of the Governor of Aruba, His Excellency Alfonso Boekhoudt, the naturalisandi took the oath or promise. With this, they swear or declare and promise to respect all freedoms, rights, and obligations belonging to the Dutch nationality.
Participation in the naturalization ceremony is the last obligatory part of a long process leading to the acquisition of Dutch nationality. The procedure to obtain Dutch nationality through option or naturalization is contained in the Netherlands Nationality Act.
