Minister Glenbert Croes resigns from the Wever-Croes Cabinet
This is an old post.
ORANJESTAD – On October 8, 2024, Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes announced that the Minister of Labor, Integration, and Energy, Mr. Glenbert Croes, has submitted his resignation as Minister of the Wever-Croes II Cabinet.
Due to his status as a suspect in the Portulaca case, Mr. Glenbert Croes decided to step down from his position.
Additionally, a recent legal change requires that if a sitting Minister or Member of Parliament becomes a suspect in a case, they must immediately resign to ensure transparency and allow the legal process to proceed without obstruction.
The Prime Minister will shortly announce a fellow minister who will take on the pending work of the Ministry of Labor, Integration, and Energy.
