Minister di Finance met with the CAFT President

ORANJESTAD – Minister of Finance, Mrs. Xiomara Maduro, recently met with the President of CAFT, Mrs. Lidewijde van Olerongen, in the Netherlands.
Minister Maduro gave an update on the work to improve the financial management of Aruba and went over the process for a new member for Aruba in the CAFT since the term of Helen van der Wal will finalize at the end of August of this year.
The minister also talked about the budget regulations and the policy drawn up to handle the surplus since Aruba only knew budgets with a deficit for many years and now is working with a budget with a surplus.
Minister Maduro thanks Mrs. Lidewijde for her attention and dedication to improving Aruba’s public finances for our country’s well-being.
