ORANJESTAD- Recently, two police officers from the K9 Unit traveled to the Netherlands for two weeks to acquire two new police dogs.

In collaboration with the National Expertise and Operations central unit of the Netherlands National Police, two officers dedicated two intensive weeks at the detection dogs department in Nunspeet. During this time, they familiarized themselves with the new police dogs and received rigorous training.

Dutch colleagues Menno van den Berg and Rober Toprakcan guided the training process in the Netherlands.

While Acting High Commissioner Sra. Gordon, together with Head of K9 Unit Mrs. Richardson, said goodbye to them in Aruba. High Commissioner Ramon Arnhem met them for a while in Nunspeet to see the new police dogs.

Two new dogs, young, ready, and prepared, will enter the service of KPA to fight crime. One is for drugs, and the other is for money.
