Influenza Vaccine Available in the Neighborhood
ORANJESTAD — The Department of Public Health (DVG) informs the public that the influenza vaccine will be available in neighborhoods starting November 5 for individuals at higher risk of becoming seriously ill due to influenza.
This group includes adults aged 60 and older, as well as individuals under 60 with chronic illnesses or health conditions that weaken their immune systems.
Adults 60 years and older are eligible to receive the influenza vaccine free of charge and do not need a prescription from their family doctor. Older adults may walk in at our Mobile Neighborhood Vaccination Unit or visit the Infectious Diseases Section, located at Avicenastraat #1 (behind the DVG building), Monday through Friday, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please bring only your AZV card.
