Handing over keys of patrol cars to the districts

This is an old post.

ORANJESTAD - On March 25, 2024, in front of the police station in Oranjestad, a symbolic ceremony took place with the handing over of the keys of the new patrol cars to the four districts of the Aruba Police Department.

This time, the police used a different concept to pay tribute to the retired police officers. Four retired police were present: Mr. Ronald Andersijn, "Shon pe" Krozendijk, Mr. Roland van Aanholt, and Mr. Rudi Soemers. These four men saw the Aruba Police Department grow from a small force struggling with challenges in the 1980s to the advanced and stable force it is today.

The retired police handed the keys to four young officers, symbolizing the next generation that will lead the force. These young officers also received their new FORD brand patrol cars, model Everest.

Also present were the Chief of Police, Mr. Ramon Arnhem, the leadership of KPA, Mrs. Gordon, Mr. Candelaria, and Mr. De Mey, along with the staff of the police station in Oranjestad.
As of March 25, the new FORD patrol cars are on the roads of Aruba.
