Graduation Ceremony for 22 Police Officers Completing Their Police Training
ORANJESTAD - On Friday, July 3, 2026, the graduation ceremony for 11 police recruits and 11 police officers who completed their Middle Management Training (MKO) took place in the auditorium of the J.F.K. Education Center.
In the presence of Minister of Justice Dr. Arthur Dowers, Police Commissioner Ramon Arnhem, Head of the Police Academy E.J. Watty Vos, Mrs. Sherina Arrindel, the police leadership, colleagues, and family members, diplomas were presented to the 11 police recruits who completed their basic training. Subsequently, diplomas were awarded to the 11 police officers who completed their Middle Management Training (MKO).
The police recruits from class 2023 N-4 who earned their diplomas are: J. Gomez, T. De Cuba, M. Contreras, Van de L’Isle, A. Van Norden, B. De Windt, G. Rosel, J. Gir, J. Paesch, A. Angela, and R. Luidens.
The MKO police officers from class 2025-2 were: C. Kock, V. Filiciana, C. Blijden, A. Arends, R. Paesch, A. Ignacia, R. Nicholson, B. Bareño, J. Koolman, R. Maduro, and J. Whitfield.
"Every colleague must be given the opportunity to advance, and to take courses and training so they can continue to develop. Today we are seeing the fruits of this: 11 police recruits have earned their basic diplomas, and 11 police officers have completed their MKO training. By working together and investing in our people, we see progress. I am very proud of them," said Police Commissioner Ramon Arnhem.
