Governor Receives Brigade Commander of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee in the Caribbean
ORANJESTAD – On the morning of Friday, September 18, the Governor of Aruba, His Excellency Alfonso Boekhoudt, met with the recently appointed Brigade Commander of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee in the Caribbean, Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Taribuka.
Mr. Taribuka was accompanied by Mr. Tom van Vught, Head of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee detachment in Aruba.
The Marechaussee contributes to the security of the Caribbean part of the Kingdom through its independent operations. They do so in close cooperation with chain partners, such as the Coast Guard and local police forces.
The Governor welcomed Brigade Commander Taribuka and wished him every success in his new role.
