Governor Makes Official Trip to the Netherlands
ORANJESTAD - The Governor of Aruba, His Excellency Alfonso Boekhoudt, made a business trip to the Netherlands from September 9 to 18 in connection with Budget Day (Prinsjesdag).
In addition to attending the delivery of the Speech from the Throne by His Majesty the King on Tuesday, September 16, he also made several working visits.
During this visit, the Governor spoke with His Majesty the King at Huis ten Bosch Palace, with Prime Minister Dick Schoof, with the State Secretary for the Interior and Kingdom Relations Eddie van Marum, with the Minister of Climate and Green Growth Sophie Hermans, and with the Vice-President of the Council of State, Mr. Thom de Graaf. In addition, regular consultations were held between the Governor of Curaçao, H.E. Lucille George-Wout, the Governor of Sint Maarten, H.E. Ajamu Baly, State Secretary Van Marum, and Governor Boekhoudt.
During Governor Boekhoudt's official travels, the Acting Governor of Aruba, His Excellency Agustin Vrolijk, was his deputy.
