Governor Attends Ceremony Honoring Dia di Betico

ORANJESTAD - On Sunday, January 25th, the Governor of Aruba, His Excellency Alfonso Boekhoudt, and his wife, Mrs. Hanneke Boekhoudt-Koetse, attended the ceremonial ceremony honoring Dia di Betico at Plaza Libertador G.F. Betico Croes.
After the national anthem was played, Pastor Jairo Maduro offered a prayer, after which a wreath-laying ceremony took place at the Betico Croes monument by members of Parliament, members of the Council of Ministers, and family members of Betico Croes.
The program continued with a speech by the Croes family and Prime Minister Eman, and various performances, ranging from poetry readings to song and dance.
