Government Announces New MFA for San Nicolas and Neighborhood Revitalization Projects
ORANJESTAD — During a national event in front of the Hulp Bestuurskantoor in San Nicolas, where the government presented its upcoming investment projects, Prime Minister Mike Eman announced a new Multifunctional Accommodation (MFA) for San Nicolas, along with revitalization plans for the De Vuyst and Bushiri neighborhoods.
The San Nicolas MFA will be among the next major projects realized in the city center, forming part of broader neighborhood enhancement plans presented during the event.
A New MFA for San Nicolas
The Prime Minister noted that while Noord, Paradera, Santa Cruz, and Savaneta have all received their respective MFA facilities, San Nicolas equally deserves a center of its own. This announcement aligns with a broader vision for the city and the communities "above the bridge." Strategic investments in infrastructure aim to enhance residents' daily quality of life while providing essential facilities to support community development.
Revitalization of De Vuyst and Bushiri
Prime Minister Eman also announced dedicated revitalization projects for De Vuyst and Bushiri. He emphasized the urgent need for upgraded sports facilities, public recreational spaces, and an environment that offers residents the high quality of life they deserve.
Highlighting ongoing and recently completed maintenance work in Village and Mabon, the Prime Minister expressed his desire to for these neighborhood improvements to continue throughout the remainder of the governing period. Bushiri is slated as the next neighborhood to undergo comprehensive upgrades to its recreational areas and public spaces.
With the announcement of the San Nicolas MFA, neighborhood revitalization plans, and an ongoing focus on social protection, the government reaffirms its commitment to an Aruba where economic development and social welfare progress hand in hand—with the needs of the community at its core.
