Government Announces Land Allocation for Construction of New, Modern Mental Health Clinic
ORANJESTAD – On August 28, 2026, the Government of Aruba approved the allocation of land to the Respaldo Mental Health Foundation.
Together with the Mama Ties Foundation, a completely new and modern healthcare facility will be built at this location to provide high-quality mental health services to the Aruban community.
This development marks an important step in strengthening mental health services, with the goal of establishing a specialized institution for people with mental health conditions. The new facility has the potential to significantly improve the way Aruba responds to a growing social and healthcare need.
For years, Aruba has faced limitations in the capacity and services available to people who require mental health care, particularly those with complex and severe conditions. When specialized care is not available locally, people may be required to seek treatment outside Aruba.
