Free membership for all children and young people under 18 years old

ORANJESTAD— All babies, kindergarteners, children, and young people under 18 can become public library members to explore a world filled with stories and information.

The library offers them a free membership to stimulate reading among children and young people. This initiative aims to foster a larger community of readers who enjoy reading and desire to learn and grow through literature.

The library welcomes all those under 18 years of age who are not yet members to use this opportunity to become members at no cost. They have material in Papiamento, Dutch, Spanish, and English, and a small collection of books in French. There is a wide variety of materials available, covering numerous topics and providing access to online information. Many children come to make use of its facility. More and more, educational requirements emphasize group work. Therefore, there is no better place than the library for this purpose. Members have access to e-books as well as audiobooks (Listenerbooks). If you have vision problems or prefer to listen to the story instead of reading, that is also possible.

To register as a member, please bring a valid ID.
