Four-day working sessions with TWO Netherlands
ORANJESTAD—On June 2, 2025, Minister Gerlien Croes of Kingdom Relations, Education, Youth, Innovation, and Sports started the four-day working sessions with representatives of the Temporary Work Organization (TWO) of the Netherlands and Aruba.
The sessions are an essential phase in the cooperation for the Country Package for Aruba and focus on the reform implementation and further strengthening.
The sessions are within the framework of the Mutual Arrangement Cooperation in Reforms, on which the Country Package is based, and remain in force until April 2027. According to Minister Croes, Aruba is in a crucial phase in which focus and determination are necessary to implement the agreed actions.
The meeting started in a pleasant atmosphere, in which Minister Croes welcomed the coordinators, project leaders, and advisors. In his opening speech, Minister Croes emphasized the importance of the workshops:
"It is my great pleasure to welcome you here today. The collaboration with TWO has proven its worth over the years and has catalyzed investments, reforms, and important projects for Aruba," according to Minister Croes. "Implementation is necessary for the upcoming term. We are in the last sprint and working together to enhance and realize the plans made.
During the sessions in the coming days, they will discuss new priorities agreed upon with the new ministers regarding the various themes of the Country Package. They will also evaluate where additional support is needed to achieve the objectives within the set time.
The workshops aim to contribute to an effective implementation, focusing on a sustainable and future-proof Aruba.
