Farewell Ceremony for Robert JeanD’or September 26 and 27, 2025

ORANJESTAD – On Wednesday, September 17, the people of Aruba were deeply saddened by the passing of our cultural legend, Robert JeanD’or.

The government hereby announces that the official farewell ceremony for Robert JeanD’or will take place on Friday, September 26, and Saturday, September 27, 2025.

With deep sorrow, it expresses its sincere condolences to the family, musicians, friends, and all who held Robert Jean D’or in their hearts. His legacy will live on forever in the souls of our people.

The government of Aruba invites the entire community to join us in remembering his life and his invaluable contribution to Aruban culture.

Friday, September 26, 2025 – Public Farewell and Parade

4:00 PM – 5:00 PM\

  • Farewell Parade at the Aruba Entertainment Center

5:00 PM – 6:00 PM Departure of the Farewell Parade

  • From the Aruba Entertainment Center
  • Via Avenida Milo Croes
  • Towards Vondellaan and Cas di Cultura

6:00 PM – Arrival at Cas di Cultura

  • The hearse will be lined up on Stadionweg
  • The music trailer will be parked on Vondellaan, where the Robert Solo Banda Show and guest singers will perform a musical tribute

6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

  • Opportunity for family, friends, and the public to pay their respects, accompanied by music and remembrance

Saturday, September 27, 2025 – Funeral and Cremation

11:30 AM

  • Departure from Santa Cruz Church towards Caya Betico Croes – Aurora Funeral Home

12:00 PM – Departure from Aurora Funeral Home

  • De La Sallestraat
  • Professor Lorentzstraat
  • Driemasterstraat
  • Santa Helenastraat
  • Caya Ernesto Petronia
  • Turn right via Wema towards Tanki Leendert
  • Arrive at Robert JeanD’or's house, near Tanki Leendert Church
  • Continue along the main road to the Tanki Leendert roundabout towards Catiri
  • Proceed via Moko, Calabas, Kudawecha, and Sabana Liber towards Alto Vista Chapel
  • Leave Alto Vista Chapel towards Arsenal and then Santa Cruz Church
