EPB Celebrates a Historic Milestone with the Launch of Fix-Papiamento and Caribisch Keuken

ORANJESTAD — Stichting EPB has marked a historic moment for education in Aruba with the official launch of Fix-Papiamento and the Caribisch Keuken module.

These two innovative projects seamlessly combine technology, language, and culinary heritage—clearly reflecting EPB’s vision to modernize and strengthen Aruba’s educational sector.

Fix-Papiamento is an interactive digital platform that offers students the opportunity to learn Papiamento in a dynamic and contemporary way. Developed with the active participation of teachers and students, this groundbreaking tool represents a major step forward, positioning Papiamento within a digital framework that ensures compatibility with other instructional languages.

The Caribisch Keuken module, designed in collaboration with EPB’s chef and exam publisher, celebrates and reinforces Aruba’s rich culinary heritage. It provides students with an accredited MBO-level course that merges cultural pride with professional training.

Minister of Kingdom Relations, Education, Youth, Innovation, and Sports, Ms. Gerlien Croes, expressed her pride and appreciation for these initiatives:

“This is a great achievement for Aruba. We see two projects that beautifully integrate language, culture, and innovation, efforts that will undoubtedly strengthen our education system and contribute to our national development. I commend everyone who made this possible.”

The launch of Fix-Papiamento and Caribisch Keuken also coincides with EPB’s 30th anniversary, a milestone that highlights three decades of dedication, growth, and innovation in vocational education on the island.
