DVG Presents Its 2026 Resolution: Your Health, Our Priority!

ORANJESTAD – The Aruba Department of Public Health (DVG) launches its slogan “Your Health, Our Priority” for 2026.

DVG remains firmly committed to the well-being, development, and protection of our community and reaffirms its dedication to safeguarding public health in a structured, continuous, and sustainable manner.

The 2026 resolution is based on an integrated approach to the surveillance, detection, and prevention of conditions that may affect health. Concrete actions will be implemented across all departments, focusing on strengthening safety, preventing risks, and ensuring stability within the community.

In addition to public health initiatives and infectious disease prevention, DVG is also responsible for overseeing human development from infancy through adulthood. This includes growth monitoring, assessment of physical and mental development, and evaluation of overall well-being, ensuring that everyone can grow and develop under healthy conditions.

DVG also plays a vital role in the quality control of healthcare services, with particular attention to the supervision and evaluation of specialists and healthcare professionals. Through continuous monitoring, registration, and evaluation, DVG ensures that the medical and preventive care provided in Aruba meets established quality and safety standards.

Through ongoing monitoring and early detection, DVG seeks to identify potential threats in a timely manner and implement appropriate measures to limit and prevent the spread of infectious diseases. These efforts are reinforced through surveillance, prevention programs, education, and awareness initiatives aimed at empowering the community and promoting a responsible approach to personal health.

Each DVG department actively contributes and collaborates with local and regional partners to ensure that the public health system remains prepared, vigilant, and focused on protecting the well-being of all citizens. This collaboration is essential to maintaining a healthy community with a strong sense of responsibility for individual health.

DVG invites the community to continue working together, follow public health guidance, and actively participate in initiatives that promote well-being and prevention. Together, we can preserve and improve public health, create a safer environment, and lay the foundation for a healthy Aruba, now and in the future.
