During the Common Good Conference, an MoU was signed to strengthen the National Reforestation Plan.

ORANJESTAD—During the Good Common Conference, a signing ceremony took place within the framework of the National Program of Afforestation of Aruba, an initiative aimed at strengthening Aruba's social-ecological system through afforestation and urban green infrastructure.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Mike Eman and Minister of Infrastructure Rene Herde, along with a wide range of private and institutional partners, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to affirm their commitment to the cause. Among the participating organizations were Save More Supermarkets NV, ArubaBank, Aruba Wine & Dine Holding, Hospital Dr. Horacio Oduber, Eagle Aruba Resort, Jolly Holding, Pepe Margo, and Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort.

This signing represents a unified commitment to invest in a greener and more resilient future, where environmental stewardship and community well-being are intertwined. Through reforestation and the development of urban green spaces, Aruba is actively working to enhance its natural environment and quality of life.

With this MoU, the government and the private sector reaffirm their collective responsibility to contribute to a more sustainable Aruba, where development, community, and nature are connected for the benefit of the common good.
