Directie Ouderenzaken, Department of Elderly Affairs, provides courses for care homes for the elderly.

Primarily, the care that the elderly receive. To continue improving the care that nursing home staff provide to the elderly, DOZ approached the Horacio Oduber Hospital Academy (HOH Academy) to partner in improving the knowledge and skills of nursing home staff. In this way, DOZ aims to strengthen and raise the quality of care for the elderly.

During October, the Directie Ouderenzaken (DOZ), together with the Horacio Oduber Academy (HOH Academy), organized a talk on how to deal with verbal aggression. Teachers from HOH Academy gave the talk to a total of 44 people currently working in a nursing home. During this talk, the participants received valuable information that they could apply immediately. 

DOZ would like to thank the HOH Academy for its cooperation during preparation for the lecture. This was another collaboration between DOZ and HOH Academy to jointly continue improving the knowledge and skills of those working in care homes in Aruba.
