This program consisted of six unique workshops specifically designed to prepare students who have applied for an Arubalening (Aruba Student Loan) for their higher education. This applied to all students, regardless of whether they plan to study in Aruba, Curaçao, the Netherlands, the United States, Canada, or any other country abroad.

The workshops covered the following topics:

  • How to study in higher education (portfolio building and time management);
  • Assertiveness, self-image, and leadership;
  • Transitioning to student life in Aruba and abroad;
  • Emotional management and independence;
  • Creating a budget that works for you!
  • Mental and cultural preparation for smoother integration.

Group Flight to the Netherlands

For students continuing their studies in the Netherlands and traveling on the organized group flight scheduled for August 5, 2026: please note that July 15, 2026, is also the final deadline to indicate whether you wish to use the Arubalening NL Travel Product (flight ticket). We ask all students to log into their Arubalening portal and verify that the Arubalening NL Travel Product is correctly selected.

If you previously selected this option but now plan to travel on a date other than August 5, 2026, you must opt out no later than July 15, 2026. If the student fails to notify the Student Facilities Division of their cancellation in time, the cost of the ticket will be automatically deducted from the student's starter package (first disbursement).

Students who have not yet requested the Arubalening NL Travel Product can do so until July 15, 2026. After July 15, 2026, no students can be added to or removed from the flight list under any circumstances.

Civil Registry Deregistration (Censo) The Student Facilities Division will send a master list containing the names of all students studying abroad directly to Censo. Censo will then contact the students individually to notify them of the specific date and time they must report to Censo to officially finalize their deregistration.

Best of Luck The DEA team and the Student Facilities Division wish all students the best of luck with their final preparations. Enjoy your last days in Aruba in good health and never lose sight of your ultimate goal!
