Customs Department Holds Ceremony for Insignia Changes and Honoring of Milestone Anniversaries

ORANJESTAD – The Customs Department congratulates a group of employees who recently received new insignia following their promotions, as well as colleagues celebrating their 40th, 35th, and 25th service anniversaries with the government.

On Friday, July 10, 2026, the presentation of insignia to a total of eight recently promoted individuals took place. The ceremony was held in the presence of the Director of Customs, Mr. Roderick Croes, the management team, department heads, staff, and guests.

The promotions include employees holding the following ranks within the Customs Department: 

  • Import Duty and Excise Inspector 1st Class (Verificateur der Invoerrechten & Accijnzen 1ste klasse)
  • Hoofdkommies der Invoerrechten & Accijnzen 1ste klasse A (Chief Commissioner of Import Duties and Excise 1st Class A)
  • Additionally, gifts were presented to 13 honorees celebrating their 40th, 35th, and 25th milestones of public service.
