Children's Book Festival Activities
ORANJESTAD - The Children's Book Festival lasts a week and takes place in the first week of November.
The festival always opens with a big party on Sunday, November 2, 2025.
During the week of November 3rd through 7th, many authors from Aruba, the Netherlands, Curaçao, and Bonaire will visit schools to tell stories in the classroom and at the library. Illustrators will also give presentations on how they illustrate stories for children. This way, we aim to encourage children to read more, read together, and visit the library more often. Library membership has become free, a gift for all children and young people under 18.
A large group of children's book authors will visit more than 50 schools. This group visits schools to tell stories, talk to children about books, and also encourages children to read more.
