Childcare Office Under the Education Inspectorate to Ensure Quality, Safety, and Education
ORANJESTAD — The Government of Aruba informs that the Childcare Office (Bureau Kinderopvang) will now fall under the supervision of the Education Inspectorate, marking a new and significant phase in the administration and oversight of childcare legislation in Aruba.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to modernize and review the Childcare Act, aiming to improve both operational practices and oversight structures. The primary goal is to guarantee the safety and well-being of all children, while ensuring that childcare centers operate in a secure and educational environment.
To support this, an analysis of legislative changes will be carried out to ensure more effective implementation. In addition, a pedagogical evaluation will be conducted to confirm that all measures contribute to the holistic development of every child.
It is also noteworthy that the Protection Code will once again fall under Social Affairs, further reinforcing the social protection framework for children.
With these measures, the government reaffirms its vision of building a strong, safe, and educational childcare system, one that prepares children for a future full of opportunities, growth, and security.
