Change in the table of compensation allowance from January 1, 2026

ORANJESTAD—The Tax Department (DIMP) informs that there is a change in the table of compensation allowance (reparatietoeslag) from January 1, 2026, due to the increase in minimum wage.

Compensation allowance is an extra income that you receive every month in your salary. For example, if you receive minimum wage, you receive Afl. 175 extra per month from 1 January 2026.

Compensation allowance is valid for you who are employees working in the private sector and meet the conditions in accordance with law.

The conditions include:

  1. You must be registered at the Civil Registry Office;
  2. Your gross salary is a maximum of Afl. 2,500 per month;
  3. You work an average of 20 hours or more per week;
  4. You do not receive compensation allowance from another employer;
  5. You do not receive an old-age/orphan's pension from SVB Aruba.;
  6. You complete and submit the employee declaration to your current employer.
