Ban Bek Caya has generated impressive sales for merchants in Caya Grande

ORANJESTAD - Friday, June 6, Caya G.F. Betico Croes, better known as Caya Grandi, came back to life during the first edition of Ban Bek Caya, a collective initiative of the Government of Aruba in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA).

Many people showed up to enjoy the scenery, the variety of local food, buy new products, and discover stores on the main street that offer attractive discounts on various products. It is no secret that this event has brought life back into commerce.

According to Robert Montilla, a local honey producer, "I didn't know what to expect... but we're practically sold out already!" "Initiatives like this are great for helping local businesses grow".

Florentijn van der Palm, Manager of Cookout, "The street was full of people and a lot of atmosphere. A good vision for the future".
During the event, a number of tourists used the tram to move from one place to another. The turnout was large, according to Baptist, Arutram's Operations Supervisor. During his years with Arutram, Mervin Baptist had never seen so many people in Caya Grande.

Roos Broekhuizen of Mrs Minute herself did not participate commercially in the Ban Bek Caya evening, but was impressed with the huge number of visitors. There was a variety of food, stores were full, and the atmosphere was unique. Ms. Broekhuizen urges other companies that have parking available spaces to cooperate and make them available for such large events. Ms. Broekhuizen says it was the first time she had seen such a big street filled with so much movement and atmosphere.

Ms. Sulanjis Wever, owner of Star Fashion, reported that Ban Bek Caya resulted in a 600% sales increase for Star Fashion compared to any other Friday sales. The event was spectacular for Star Fashion. Star Fashion is committed to contributing to the success of Ban Bek Caya by providing unique shopping offers.

The organizers see this pilot project as a resounding success and are preparing the second edition of Ban Bek Caya to help give a much-needed boost to this important commercial zone.

Ban Bek Caya has proven to be an initiative that gives real attention to commerce in Caya Grandi, and promises to become the largest monthly event in Aruba.

The family atmosphere and joy that reigned during this evening gave a sense of optimism for the revitalization of commerce in Caya Grandi.
