A.T.A. shares April 2025 results.
ORANJESTAD - Given global economic developments, particularly the new tariffs introduced by the Trump administration in the United States, the Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA) reaffirms its commitment to strategically monitor, prepare a resilience plan, and protect the island's tourism sector.
Tourism in Aruba came out strong in the first quarter of 2025.
YTD April 2025:
Healthy demand and strong development Statistics according to the update in the tourism industry: the volume of stay-over guests shows a stable result of 3% in the first 4 months of 2025 compared to the first 4 months of 2024. Aruba received 518,840 guests in January–April 2025 compared to 503,938 in January–April 2024. A stable demand and indication of normalization after several years of record growth in volume. It is consistent with A.T.A.'s plan to maintain a steady number of visitors to Aruba. In the same period mentioned, 81% of our guests arrived from North America, 12.9% from Latin America, 4% from Europe, and 2% from other regions.
There are fewer bookings for the second half of 2025, which requires monitoring.
Feedback indicates that demand for the second quarter (Q2) is stable, but we must monitor the second half of 2025. When measuring demand now, it is less than at the same time in 2024. A.T.A. will continue to measure this closely and adjust strategy when and where necessary. The fact remains that the current global situation is changing and that there is uncertainty for which A.T.A. has already activated. It is in close collaboration with, among others, the Ministry of Tourism, which also monitors the situation closely, and partners in the private sector.
Statistics according to the update in the tourism industry: volume ("stayover") with an additional positive result of 4.3% in April 2025 compared to April 2025

Short-term vacation rentals (STVR)
A.T.A. has access to a platform where you can see the number of houses, apartments, and villas used as vacation rentals, the average price per night, the occupancy, and a calculation of the income these generate. In 2024, a study indicated that A.T.A. successfully updated the inventory of existing condominiums and those currently under development. It updated the list of places to stay that are not hotels but are available to tourists who stay in Aruba for a short time.
The average occupancy of these rooms rose by 1 percent from 57% in April 2024 to 58% in April 2025, compared between April 2024 and April 2025.
