A.T.A. reaffirms its commitment to art: ArtWeek Aruba 2025.

ORANJESTAD - The Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) announces its support for the eighth edition of ArtWeek Aruba, which will take place between 1 and 7 September 2025 in San Nicolas Street.

Art for Justice, this year's theme, is a call for harmony, introspection, and artistic change. ArtWeek is a unique platform that showcases the creative richness and cultural diversity of our island, but with the aim of inspiring dialogue on justice and equality.

The cultural week begins with "Art Table: Brushstrokes for Justice," a painting experience under the stars. Artists guide over 100 art enthusiasts to design a canvas hunt that emphasizes empathy, equality, and justice. September 3, “Art Fashion: Justice on the Runway” turns fashion into activism. Aruban and foreign designers will present collections that challenge social norms and show justice as a visual protest. The last event is the Aruba Art Fair, which will feature over 100 artists over three days (September 5–7). They will showcase all works in four immersive galleries, murals, presentations, and international culinary offerings. Art, live protests, and installations that condemn inequity and give voice to marginalized populations are available to visitors.

For A.T.A., this is not only a festival but also an example of how culture can be a platform for education and empowerment. In collaboration with local schools such as Filomena College MAVO, students attended various art workshops. They have created works that the public will be able to admire at the Aruba Art Fair. It is an opportunity for students to express their creative voice. The exhibition showcases the students' art pieces to a larger audience for the first time, and the experience may inspire them to pursue careers in art or creative tourism.

As a sponsor, A.T.A. continues to invest in cultural initiatives that expand Aruba's reputation and strengthen our identity as a destination that is more than sun and beach but also a creative and inclusive hub in the Caribbean.

A.T.A. invites everyone to celebrate art and support our local artists.
