A.T.A. Announces September Calendar: A Month of Tourism, Culture, and Community.
ORANJESTAD – The Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) presents the September 2025 calendar.
This month is dedicated to tourism, while also celebrating Aruba’s culture, showcasing art, and bringing the community together through a series of exciting events.
The month kicks off with the Ban Keiro Cu Zjeitu initiative, taking place from September 1 to 3. Zjeitu is a local cultural band with a mission to preserve, strengthen, and share the traditional music of Aruba, Curaçao, and Bonaire. The group blends traditional rhythms with modern sounds, stories, and performances in Papiamento.. As part of this initiative, Zjeitu will visit eleven elderly care facilities and an accessible walking trail to bring joy, cultural pride, and nostalgia, honoring the generations who helped shape Aruba’s cultural foundation.
Art and creativity take center stage during ArtWeek. The festivities begin with ArtTable on September 1, followed by ArtFashion on September 3. The week culminates with the ArtFair, held September 5–7, which will transform San Nicolas into a vibrant cultural hotspot featuring both local and international art.
On September 5, the Lantern Parade will light up the streets of Brazil. Sunday, September 7, marks the Cultural Folklore Parade, where visitors of all ages from across the island can enjoy Aruba’s rich traditions. This colorful parade showcases traditional clothing, music, dance, and joy-filled celebrations. Later in the month, on Sunday, September 28, the second edition of Cultural Vibration will take place in Savaneta.
Education also takes a leading role with Voices of Tourism on September 9–11. Internationally renowned speaker Trent Shelton and local motivator Rodrick "Rocco" Franken invite schools across Aruba to attend inspiring sessions. These sessions aim to empower and guide students as they make important decisions about their future careers.
On September 19, the annual World Tourism Day Conference will bring industry leaders together to discuss a more sustainable and balanced future for tourism. On September 27, Aruba’s entire community will celebrate World Tourism Day, while A.T.A. showcases the island later that month during Climate Week in New York City.
From September 22 to 25, the culinary arts take the spotlight during the Culinary Education Experience, organized by EPB Oranjestad, EPB San Nicolas, and Colegio EPI. This program connects students with culinary professionals and suppliers, broadening their knowledge of the industry and inspiring them to pursue careers in the culinary field.
A.T.A. warmly invites the entire Aruban community to join in this month of festivities and cultural celebrations. For more information, visit A.T.A.’s social media channels or the official website at www.ata.aw.
