Aruba’s Tourism Pioneers Honored

ORANJESTAD – An official ceremony was held at Plaza Turismo to unveil new names added to the Ike Cohen Monument, honoring individuals who have played a significant role in shaping Aruba’s tourism industry.

The Ike Cohen monument dedicated to the island’s Pioneers of Tourism was unveiled at Plaza Turismo in 2016.

This commemorative event served as an opportunity to recognize, thank, and celebrate the many pioneers whose contributions have been instrumental to the growth and development of Aruba’s tourism sector.

The ceremony was attended by the Governor of Aruba, His Excellency Alfonso Boekhoudt; Prime Minister Mr. Mike Eman; Minister of Tourism, Transport, and Labour, Mr. mr. Wendrick Cicilia; and the CEO of the Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA), Mrs. Ronella Croes.

The following names were added to the monument:
