Aruba Represented at UNESCO MONDIACULT 2025.
ORANJESTAD - Aruba participated in UNESCO MONDIACULT 2025, the world’s largest conference on culture, bringing together representatives from more than 160 countries.
The Aruban delegation was led by Michael Lampe, cultural diplomat and delegation leader, accompanied by Liesje Proveyer of the Department of Culture Aruba (DCA), serving as youth representative, and Ray-Anne Hernandez of the UNESCO Aruba National Commission.
The central theme of MONDIACULT 2025 underscores a powerful message: culture must be recognized as a fundamental pillar of sustainable development, alongside education and health.
Speech by Leader of Delegation, Michael Lampe:
“I am extremely proud of Aruba’s delegation at MONDIACULT 2025. Together, we have shown that culture is the foundation of our identity and our future. Aruba may be small, but when we unite our voices and expertise, we can make our nation’s presence resonate strongly on the global stage.”
