Aruba Police Force K9 Unit Undergoes Intensive Training in Miami, Florida
ORANJESTAD – The K9 Unit of the Aruba Police Force (KPA) has received an official invitation from Police Service Dog Training in Miami, Florida.
Their justice sector partner, the BOT-K9 Unit of the Correctional Institution of Aruba (KIA), has also been invited.
The program consists of five intensive training days and focuses on the operational deployment capacity of the service dog (guarding) and the various skills a dog handler must develop.
Upon completion of the training, participants will receive an official certificate. Additionally, the training offers an opportunity to exchange knowledge with handlers from other countries.
The KPA continuously invests in security, professionalization, and cooperation among various agencies, both locally and internationally.
The KPA wishes its colleagues from the K9 Unit and those from BOT KIA much success with the course.
